• Device Information: Device type, OS version, and unique identifiers.
• Usage Data: Features used, interaction patterns, and performance data.
• Photos: Only photos you explicitly capture/upload. We do not access your library without permission.

Third-Party Data

• Food Databases: We query external databases (OpenFoodFacts, USDA) for nutritional info. These queries do not include personal identifiers.

We use your data to:

• Sync your data across devices securely.
• Analyse food photos using AI to estimate nutritional content.
• Personalize your experience and provide relevant food suggestions.
• Process in-app purchases and subscriptions.

4. Data Storage and Security

Cloud & Local Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, featuring TLS/SSL encryption and secure authentication. Some data is stored locally on your device via Apple’s SwiftData for offline access.

Data Retention

• Data is retained while your account is active.
• You may delete your account at any time via App settings.
• Permanent Removal: Data is purged from our servers within 30 days of account deletion.

• Correction: Update your info directly within the App.
• Deletion: Permanently remove your account and all associated data.
• Opt-Out: Disable cloud sync, notifications, or camera permissions.

7. International Disclosures & Children’s Privacy

• Children: MochiMeter is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from this age group.
• International: Your information may be processed in countries other than Australia; we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
• California (CCPA): We do not sell your personal information.
